JICA PRECIDA – UOJ has organized a workshop for the academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty of Agriculture on 07th of December 2023, at the Research and Training Building of the Faculty of Agriculture in Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi. The Northern Provincial Council organized an exhibition on “Entrepreneurial School Garden” at Mallavi Central College, Mullaitivu with the coordination of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The exhibition aimed to promote the concept of school gardens with modernized agricultural practices, technology, awareness of food-based dietary patterns and consumption of millet food, preparation of a digital platform for school gardens, and other subjects based on agriculture promotion among school children and youth farmers. The event was held on 10th and 11th of October 2023 at the school premises and was open to school students all over the Northern Province. Faculty of Agriculture also participated in the exhibition.
