Field day organized by Faculty of Agriculture at Integrated Farm & Training Centre, Parasankulam, Puliyankulam on 22^nd of January 2023.  Around 100-120 participants including Chief guest Prof. S.Srisatkunarajah, Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna; Dean, Faculty of Agriculture; Heads and staff from faculty of Agriculture; Deputy Registrar,  Kilinochchi Premises ; Students from Faculty of Agriculture; Prof. Ogata Kazuo, PRICIDA project JICA, University of Jaffna; Staff from Department of Agriculture & Department of Agrarian Services; and Members from farmers Organizations; local farmers and farm staff participated in this event.

Objectives of this field day:

1. Dissemination of knowledge regarding self -seed production
2. Facilitates the interaction between Faculty of Agriculture and Department of Agriculture, Department of Agrarian Services and local farmers

Agenda of this field day was:

1. Traditional oil lamp lighting
2. Welcome address and chairperson address by Dean/Agriculture
3. Traditional paddy harvesting – Initiated by Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna followed by other participants
4. Field discussions
5. Chief guest Address by Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna
