Miss.Kalaivizhi Varathanathan (2018/AG/099) a final year student of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna was selected as one of the ten members from Sri Lanka to visit Japan under Japan – SAARC Exchange program – JENESYS 2022 organized by JICE (Japan International Cooperation Center). The team comprises one working person (Principal, Visaka College, Colombo), 5 Faculty of Agriculture students from Universities (Jaffna, Peradeniya, Rajarata, Ruhuna, and Uwawellasa) and 4 high school students ( 2 from Visaka college, one each from Ananda college, and Mahinda college). The period of the visit is 1st Feb 2023 – 7th Feb 2023. Main aim of this program is to exchange the students from South Asian countries with Japan and disseminate the culture, history, tradition, technology, and important productions with these countries and maintain a good relationship with these countries. During this period the students visited various horticulture, floriculture, and livestock farms in Japan.
