JICA PRECIDA – UOJ has organized a workshop for the academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty of Agriculture on 07th of December 2023, at the Research and Training Building of the Faculty of Agriculture in Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the Faculty of Agriculture acted as the counterpart in planning and organizing this training program. The capacity development workshop for the agriculture undergraduates to address agricultural issues with farming community was organized at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna on 22 July 2023. The inauguration began at 8.30 a.m., and was attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Jaffna, the Dean of the Faculty, staff of the faculty, along with other invited guests. 12 professionals from different organizations related to agriculture sector along with farmers were invited and engaged in a discussion forum where they have shared the problems and opportunities to work together. A workshop titled “Agritech 102” was held on March 23rd  2023 from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm in the auditorium of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna,  Ariviyal Nagar, Kilinochchi. This workshop was jointly organized by the Faculty of Agriculture, AHEAD operation, JICA PRECIDA-UOJ, the Agriculture students union, and a group of alumni members of the Faculty (Agri Task Force).
