The Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operation of Sri Lanka organized an event to Recognize the Successful Commercialization of University Research at BMICH, Colombo on the 2nd of May 2023 from 9.00 am onwards. Bael fruit syrup incorporated drinking yoghurt developed by a research team from the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna and commercialized by Mullai Milk Processing Industry was selected under category 1. Any food product or Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) available in the market is used as the criteria to be recognized under category 1. Dr.(Mrs.)S. Piratheepan, Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Animal Science, and Mr.S.Thavaseelan, Chairman, Mullai milk processing industry received the award on behalf of the research team and industrial partner respectively.
